Charcoal Burning in Wyre Forest – Neville Wilde (2000)

Neville Wilde describes a traditional Wyre charcoal burn as seen at the demonstration burn by charcoal burner Joseph Nevey in 1973. This took place on an old charcoal hearth at Callow Hill last used by Mr. Nevey in 1927! This account was written up for the Wyre Forest Study Group REVIEW 2000.
